Is the Arkwright Scholarship for me?

Are you:

  • In year 11?
  • Studying GCSE Design and Technology?
  • Planning to study Maths AS/A level?
  • A high-calibre student?
  • Interested in pursuing an Engineering career?

Perhaps you should apply for an Arkwright Scholarship?

How?

  • Look at the Arkwright website.
  • Find out more from your Design and Technology teacher.
  • Ask them to check whether your school is affiliated with the Arkwright Trust.
  • Ask them for the password for the online application form.
  • Complete your application form in December.
  • Pass your completed form to the Head of DT to add the references and send in before the January deadline.

What happens next?

  • You will sit a scholarship exam at your school in February.
  • If you are successful in the exam you will be invited to interview.
  • You will travel to a university to discuss your DT and engineering interests.
  • If you do well enough at interview you will be awarded a scholarship.
  • This will be sponsored by an Engineering firm or organisation.

Good luck!
