16:30 – Welcome to Anglia Ruskin University and Keynote Address

There will be a welcome message from our hosts, Anglia Ruskin University, and a short safety briefing. This will be followed by Vic's keynote address covering cyber-security.

17:00 – Engineers, Scientists and National Security

Sam Ridler (Social Media Manager, The International Emergency Management Society)

A talk discussing what role engineers and scientists play in dealing with and minimising national security risks. Sam will discuss how the UK defines current and future threats, as well as touch on the use of science to respond to these threats.

17:30 – e2v's Role and Products in Security

James Gormley, Diviya Ali and Dipendra Mistry (Graduate Engineers, e2v)

18:00 – Forensics and its use within Royal Mail

Mike Spore (Corporate Security, Royal Mail)

A talk on the application of various scientific methods used to investigate crime against the Business and its Customers. Mike will speak about, and demonstrate, some of the processes used, as well as give a brief history of their discovery.
