President's Dinner 2018

We are pleased to welcome members and their guests to our 2018 President's Dinner.

Venue and timing

The dinner will be held at The Warren Golf & Country Club, Woodham Walter, Essex, CM9 6RW (see map below).

We will use the newly refurbished and expanded banqueting facilities in the 18th century Rose Barn, complete with a bar for pre-dinner drinks.

The start time will be 7:00 for 7:30 pm dinner service.

Tickets

The ticket price is the same as last year: the costs of a three-course meal will be £25 per person, with all drinks being purchased separately.

Prawn cocktail served with granary bread

Fanned melon with raspberry coulis (V)

Normandy chicken stuffed with cheddar cheese, wrapped in pancetta and served in a red wine jus

Hake with crushed new potatoes and shallot and caper butter

Wild mushroom linguine with garlic (V)

Chocolate roulade with Chantilly cream and mixed berries

Dress code and seating arrangements

The dress code is Smart. Tables are preferably of 6-8 people, and we will endeavour to accommodate any grouping requests.

Speaker

This year's speaker will be Ali Nicholl of Iotic Labs, who gave an extremely entertaining and engaging talk at our November 2017 event, "Braintree: Owning the Future".

Ali's talk will be on the subject of How we all make the UK a healthier place to live. Despite chronic and systemic problems, there are silver linings to the huge cloud over healthcare. Ali will give us an insight into what is hopefully just around the corner in helping us to help the NHS to help us...
