Recent Developments in Railway Signalling

This talk will identify the main changes in technology involving the transition from relay-based signalling to computer and network-based systems, and how these changes have affected the way railways operate. The talk will conclude by outlining the reasons for the current migration from lineside signals to in-cab signals based on the European Train Control System.
