Titanic – Honour and Glory

Commemorating the legendary liner: exhibition featured on the Alan Titchmarsh Show on ITV1

Discover and experience the story of the world's most famous ocean liner at Bond Street, Chelmsford.

Chelmsford Civic Society are raising funds for our city's industrial heritage. The world's first wireless factory at Hall Street, Chelmsford, made the Marconi SOS equipment installed on RMS Titanic and its rescue ship RMS Carpathia, saving 705 lives.

By visiting the exhibition, everyone will be supporting Chelmsford Civic Society's campaign to raise funds for our rich industrial heritage, which will provide talks, walks and of course exhibitions in the near future.

The exhibition includes a full-size Titanic wireless room replica, built my Ted Sinclair and previously exhibited at Hall Street and Sandford Mill.

On Monday 12 June, Tim Wander will tell the story of the brave Marconi radio operators who saved over 700 souls.

Tickets on the door: £4 plus £1 optional donation for raising funds to support and promote Chelmsford's industrial heritage. Children under 10 free. Group/school visits available by appointment (contact email address below).
