President's Dinner 2017

We are pleased to welcome members and their guests to our 2017 President's Dinner.

Venue and timing

The dinner will be held at The Warren Golf & Country Club, Woodham Walter, Essex, CM9 6RW (see map below).

We will use the banqueting facilities in the 18th century Rose Barn, with an adjoining bar for pre-dinner drinks.

We have kept to the start time of 7.00 for 7.30 pm dinner.

Tickets

The charge for a three-course meal will be £25 per person, with all drinks being purchased separately.

Prawn and crayfish cocktail with Marie Rose sauce

Dress code and seating arrangements

The dress code is Dinner Jacket, Lounge Suit or Black Tie.

Tables are preferably of 6-8 people, and we will endeavour to accommodate any grouping requests.

Speaker

This year's speaker will be Linda O'Halloran with "Teaching old networks new tricks: reflections from a Haitian post-disaster reconstruction project."

Linda O'Halloran founded and ran developing planning charity 'Thinking Development' in 2010 to support one of Haiti's largest educators of women, the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny, re-design and reconstruct their Port-au-Prince schools. Having completed two school blocks, Linda has handed the Haitian projects over to the local community and is now working with the Cluny network implement a new global development plan.

When she's not working on extra-curricular development projects, Linda consults public sector organisations on their digital service transformation initiatives, specialising in collaborative service redesign across multiple local authorities. She holds an MPhil in philosophy from UCL and she sits on the executive board of the UCL Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction.
