Professor Danielle George is Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and a Professor in the Microwave and Communications Systems research group at the University of Manchester.
As an expert in radio frequency and microwave communications, Danielle is involved in the hugely innovative Square Kilometer Array (SKA), the world's largest and highest-resolution radio telescope, on which she will be giving another talk later the same evening.
Danielle is probably best known as the presenter of The Royal Institution 2014 Christmas Lectures. She has undertaken many other high-profile media speaking engagements including TEDGlobal 2015, and as a guest on the BBC Radio 4 programmes The Life Scientific and The Infinite Monkey Cage.

Danielle will be at Hall Street from 3.30pm on Thursday 5th May. The talk will start at 4.00pm and will last about 1 hour, with time for questions afterwards.
